getting them dressed,
getting them fed
(that takes about 2 hours!)
Attempt to let them play on their own a bit
When I can't wash dishes anymore because they are fighting with each othe (DCs are 3.5 and 1.2)
we go out of the house (park or shops)
Back for lunch
Nap for youngest, quiet play for oldest.
cup of tea for me, and mumsnet.
afternoon, some special activity (park, pool farm visit, garden etc)
unstructured play at home
Tea
bedtime routine

Ufff! thank goodness I only do that a few days a week!

I have 2yo DTS. When I'm at home our routine is
feed and change
go out (park or shop)
lunch and nap
garden or play indoors
dinner
play/read books
bath
bed

Also carry out household chores and cooking throughout the day. I'm really glad that I work 3 days a week!

Hummm.. they are clearly bored sometimes...
Not all the time though.
In all fairness they also go to nursery other days, so they might actually enjoyed the low keyness of home?
Do you think they expect you to entertain them?
Of course you have to be involved, but you don't have to start everything, IYSWIM...
I was really worried with my first that way, and she is still really high maintenance!
With my second though, i was more chilled, and he is really good about getting busy himself, and then demanding my participation...

Sounds like mine - 1st ds has to be entertained whereas 2nd ds can entertain himself. Nursery is only term time so ds1 is VERY bored!!!
