My 6 year old tries to wipe himself after a number two but doesnt exactly clean it to an acceptable standard.Sorry if anyones eating. What is the age at which boys should really be tending to all their toilet needs themselves???

I'm trying to get my DD proficient at botty wiping before she starts at the school nursery class in Sept. Kandoo (or similar) wipes make it much easier for them to manage on their own. DD now wipes herself then mummy does a "botty check" to see if she's adequately clean. Extra wipe from me is becoming less often now.

i have been wondering this also.
My son is 3.3 and starts nursey in sept and wondered if the teachers do the wiping or they are left it themselves?
I have been doing all the wiping so far.

My DD is 3.7 and mostly does it herself - with varied results. This is what they seem to do at nursery, and I think they take the view that independence is more important that a few skids on their pants!
