DS2, 22 months, had a poo in the potty!

He's only recently started admitting he's had a poo, but this evening I asked him if he wanted watermelon, and he said no, and started pointing at his bottom. I asked if he'd pooed, and he said yes, but there was nothing there. So I put him on the potty, and he pooed right away! He seemed pretty proud of the whole thing.

Sounds like your realy getting somewhere. My ds is 27 months and has only done one pooh on his potty so far and when I asked him if hed done it ready to praise him like mad he looked all worried and said'no'. He did 2 wees on his potty today too without being asked and Im so proud of him.

Oh, I don't think DS2 is anywhere near ready for toilet training, he spent a morning without a nappy, and seemed to pee every half hour or something, so no thanks on that! But if he stopped pooing in the nappy, and went for the pot, that would be nice.

He does know where wee and poo come from, though, so maybe in a few months. We'll see. There's no rush. I just had a real struggle getting DS1 to poo in the pot (had to toilet train early as he kept getting his willy out and peeing everywhere even while wearing a nappy!).
