Gentle excel users- harken to one who is an eejit of the spreadsheet and tell her how to find the columns she has hidden

Please? Hid a few columns and rows using the "hide" instruction on the format menu to make data input easier. Assumed that "unhide" on same menu would reverse procedure but it seems not. Temper tantrum brewing if not sorted quite soon... Please help!

you have to highlight teh ones you have hidden befroe you do unhide

merrily · 06/08/2006 23:16

select the rows above and below the ones you have hidden, then right-click and select "Unhide". Alternatively select the whole spreadsheet and click "Unhide"

Gobbledigook · 06/08/2006 23:17

As everyone else says - highlight whole spreadsheet and right click then 'unhide'

ha...ha...ha..you remember La Maison Qui Rend Fou from the 12 labours of Asterix? Its excel.

sorry cant help but have much sympathy. I run kilometers before using excel.

The only thing I can think of is, do you have to select the spreadsheet before pressing unhide?

ScummyMummy · 06/08/2006 23:20

Thanks GDG- I will have to put a special note of thanks to you in the acknowledgements section of my project, I think. What with ratio and excel advice all in one day you are fast becoming indispensible, you know.
