Percentiles Growth charts - what do they mean?

Can someone please explain the baby growth charts to me: My 3 month old baby girl has been in the 50th percentile up until now. At her weigh- in yesterday, she had dropped to 1 percentile. What does this mean?!!

As far as I can tell, it means that her growth has slowed down but it's nothing to worry about. (The HV at the weigh-in said that her weight was fine and it was only afterwards, when I looked at the growth charts, that I saw that she's dropped from the 50th percentile).

And if it's something to worry about, what should I do? Do i need to review her feeding and get some advice on it?

The percentiles are averages - dropping a centile (presumably you mean from the 50th to the 25th?) means her growth has slowed slightly but going up or down a couple of lines is really normal.
