Why is it just my 5 year old causing trouble at birthday parties?

Twice now I have gone to a party and 5 year old DS gets carried away. He seems to want to hit the entertainer with balloons.

All the other children are sat down nicely but not my son. I can see the looks of the other parents and I don't blame them.

The first time magician was being funny saying something was green when it was blue. My DS started shouting at him then hit him with the balloon. I bring him to me and make him sit next me. His excuse is that the man was lying and not listening to him. I give him a good talking to telling this is not how you react and then my DS plays well for the rest of the party.

Today he was dressed as iron man and again hit the entertainer with his balloon. When I talked to my DS he says but I'm iron man.

I know its only a simple thing but I'm scared he will not get invited to parties again. He just gets too excited and shows off. Am I alone and any tips we can curb his excitement at parties.
