Hello, unsure if I'm doing this right as have only just registered.
I have a querry about Kooshie nappies. My son is 18 months and I have decided to try these nappies on recommendation. If they work I'll be buying them for the next child. The problem I have is that I'm unable to buy them in America or Canada over the net and get them shipped over here. They are so much cheaper over there but they all say 'will not ship out of country'. Can anyone help? Is there anywhere that I can get them cheap?

i wouldnt bother with those nappies in all honesty.

Smine · 01/08/2006 23:11

So which one's would you recommend?
I need to get him out of disposable and into reusable for cheapness mainly.

whats your budget? AIO like kooshies are just awful. i prefer a two piece system like motherease one size+wraps, or tots bots nippa+wraps.

I have to say, I never bothered with kooshies as I'd heard bad stuff about them. But I picked up some boots own brand ones in the sale £3.50 each and they're almost identical to kooshies and they're fantastic.

Not that that helps you much. But have you thought about ebay? you can buy second hand quite inexpensively

Bugdet poor at the moment, but am quite happy to pay out if it saves money in the long term.
Have been on ebay, and watching some at the mo.
To be honesty alot of people said that the reuable ones leaked. Kooshies were recommended by a couple of friends, but I'm happy to take other recommendations into concideration as this is the first time I've looked into using them. My little man was prem so the hospital put him in disposable and I carried on using them.

My favourites are fuzzi bunz and tots bots. You can pick them up quite cheaply on ebay if you don't mind used nappies. Its's very hard to wear out a tots bots!
I got one kooshies nappy and the cover went hard and developed holes after 3 months. Not a good buy.

tessasmum · 02/08/2006 10:06

I was lent some Kooshies for DS. Didn't like the Ultra ones at all (ones with built in wrap) but love the Classic ones that you use your own wrap for. And I'm a pre-fold girl!

Cappucino · 02/08/2006 10:09

I use prefolds too; they do leak sometimes but believe me, I've used disposables on holiday and they've leaked worse, especially in the early days

if it's economy you're after, either ask on the wanted board for people to flog you their old ones, or check out thenappylady.co.uk classifieds board
