5 month old DS just hurt his gums

He was settling himself to sleep so I bobbed into the kitchen to dry the pops and put them away. I heard him crying and came in and his dummy was wedged in his mouth sidewards!
It was really hard to get it out of his mouth and it will have been hurting his gums a lot the hard edges pressing into his gums

He's been screaming for a while then I rubbed some teething gel on to hopefully numb it and rocked him around the room and eventually he has fallen asleep.

Will he have done any damage? I'm worried about his teeth underneath and now I'm worried about him having a dummy Sad

He'll be fine, but do you need a bigger dummy?

If he can take it out/put back in then it needs to be too large for him to suck in - choking hazard.

I've just moved dd up to 6-18 month version because of this.

And I feckin hate them but she's a total sucky baby. No choice ATM.

He will be absolutely fine Mama! There are worse bumps cuts and grazes to come Smile.

Good I'm glad he'll be ok Smile
I was just worrying about his teeth underneath! I think I've heard people say banging gums can damage the teeth underneath? I don't know! Smile

I will have to go get him some bigger ones tomorrow because it looked so painful bless him! They're quite sharp on the sides and it was stuck in his gums so he couldn't shut his mouth Confused

I'm not the kind of mum that gets upset over their baby getting hurt but it right upset me today having to pull it out of his mouth quite hard Sad

Lesson learnt! New dummy's tomorrow Smile
