Calling all slingwearers- how to keep baby dry in this horrid weather?

I'm fairly new to my wrap sling, which is really just brilliant and so comfy. If it's drizzling, we go out with a brolly and just carry on. But in this gusty wind and rain the brolly is useless. How do other people manage to keep LO dry? I'm going a bit crazy feeling stuck indoors these last few days! All ideas welcome :)

Borrow DHs rain Mac and tuck baby in underneath?

I take the detachable hood off my mac and tuck the wide end into the back of the sling so it's held on the sling and over ds's head, if that makes sense? I then wear dh's mac and put the sides around him (and have his hood for my head!). We're out with the dog at least once a day whatever the weather so have to crack on, so far I've got cold and wet but ds always comes out warm and snug the lucky thing!

I've tried the following at various times - DH's XL raincoat. Specialist babywearing coat (Kindercoat). A windbrella.
