theimaginationtree.com gives me some inspiration when I am looking for something to do.

Making chocolate rice crispy cakes is a nice baking activity too with the added bonus of something yummy at the end of it all to have with a cuppa.

I only do one crafty thing a day (if even) and let them play with jigsaws, lego, colouring, etc the rest of the time. I join in myself for a bit but mostly leave them to it.

thank you. I just want them to do things instead of watching tv. they do play with their toys. but just hope they don't get bored

Playground, walks in park, going for tea and cake, library, playgroup, playing with sand/water etc (put loads of newspaper or towels down)

  • A bubble disco. Turn lights off/ low and put on music, blow bubbles.
  • Indoor picnic. Mine still love this and they are bigger. Lots of snacky bits and blanket on the floor.
  • Jumping in puddles in dirty clothes.
  • Cooking (one at a time). Decorating Ginger bread men.
  • Reading books
  • Making dens. (Under the bed or open wardrobe doors and hang sheets or a king size duvet cover over a table. Put cushions and blankets inside.
  • Make playdough cakes with decorations. (Cupcake cases and decorations/ candles from pound shop). Have birthday parties for toys and you have to light the candles/ blow them out.
