Hi, my 7 month year old son just seems to have discovered the art of moving around his cot, he's went from sleeping quite well to literally bein awake all hours cos he keeps rolling onto his front then can't roll back or he's worked his way to the top of the cot or he's sideways! He seems to do a lot of this by pulling himself round by the cot sides! I'm guessing this is normal? Have I just got to ride it out with the no sleeping again or is there something I can do? I'm back to work soon so dreading the sleepless nights then!

Yes very normal! They like to practice all their new skills at 2am Grin

Just ride it out. He'll get strong enough to sit up and yell for you soon. It was about 7m i started leaving dc for up to 5 mins whinging before i went in. More often than not they'd go back to sleep. I went straight away if they were properly upset though.

As long as he's not restless because he's cold/hot / growing teeth / thirsty / something else?? Grin

Very normal! My DS took about 2 weeks to get through this. I'd hear him squawk in a particular way when he was stuck on his belly, go in and flip him, then he'd go back to sleep. One night he just stopped waking up when he turned onto his stomach and now it's his position of choice.....

Is he in a sleeping bag? It helped my dc, they just couldn't move around quite so much!
