Inserts and new nappies

Hi, I'm after a bit of advice.
I have a rather chunky three month old. We've been very kindly given a load of bum genius v3s and some fuzzy buns medium sized - both for use with inserts. I seem to have one load of the thick cotton inserts with sizing poppers (I think they are BG?), but not enough - does anyone have any recommendations about what else I might get?

In addition, these inserts have been around the block, and aren't as soft as they might have once been - is there anything I can do to restore them?

My last question is about new nappies. I don't have enough yet to be purely washable, so I will need some more. I like the FB poppers more than the BG velcros (they seem a bit slimmer fitting and for better under clothes), and am thinking about the BF flip - can anyone recommend anything for someone without a tumble dryer?

Thanks lots for any advice/thoughts

Hi I use Fuzzibunz pockets too but with charcoal bamboo inserts as I find these more absorbant than the standard microfibre ones that come with the nappies.

If you just wash the inserts a few times and hang outside (if it rains even better!) this should soften them up but they won't be against your DC's skin anyway so they'll be fine anyway.

I don't have a tumble drier and use Fuzziz, tiny nippers pockets and Bumgenius Freetimes during the day which generally dry over night and iuse Easy Peasy Bumbles with a fleece wrap at night which take a full day to dry as these are more absorbant.

Little lamb boosters that you fold are the best I've found! They are £4 each on the nappy lady and so absorbant!
For new nappies I'd suggest tots bots bamboozles, they are my favourite and I've used them on all ages of baby and toddler Smile
