How many nappies per day 6 week old?

Baby is mostly breastfed but has 2 bottles of formula and has 12-15 dirty nappies. Is this normal or too many nappies?

I would say 8-10 casting my mind back 4 years. Does seem excessive.

My ds is 7 weeks (though fully ff) and we have around 8/10 wet/dirty nappies per day.

12-15 dirty/pooey nappies? If that's the case I'd speak to your HV or gp.

How often are you changing them? I mean If a couple of hours go between changes (for wees) then it's hard to tell iyswim? So when we say 8-10 it may in reality be more like 12 or so, as some nappies will have more than one wees-worth - if that makes sense! Agree if we are taking poo though you need to speak to dr/hv

My gut instinct was 12 wet or dirty in total. If all are dirty I'd have a chat with a hv or gp.

My dd is 11 weeks and ff. she has around 2/3 dirty nappies a day and is changed every 3/4 hours usually. So I guess that's about 8 nappies a day approx, it hasn't really changed since she was 6 weeks tbh

Mine is 5 weeks and suddenly we've gone from lots if dirty nappies to 1 every couple of days?! Plenty of wet ones but I'm not sure if it's normal to suddenly have so few dirty.

Alexandra if baby is BF this is not unusual.

DD has the same pattern of combination feeding and at that age was doing about 6-7 poos in 24 hours, so yes about 12 nappies in total. I asked the hv & she said as long as she is gaining weight & is alert then its all good.I still worried about everything though!

We were on about 10 nappies a day at that stage; I change at every feed and only in between if she noticeably needs doing. On about 6 a day now at 17 weeks.

I'd say mine was having at least 10 poos a day at that stage. He was exclusively breastfeed. All completely normal.
