My 10 week old will usually go down about 11-3 be awake for just over an hour feeding then sleep from 4-6 and then doesn't seem to really sleep again. Does anyone have any ideas or tips to get him to sleep longer, me and my partner will try anything!

Because we are so tired we decided to work in shifts and so brought his Moses basket downstairs. We change him and bath\clean about 10pm then he will have a final bottle of about 6oz before falling asleep at 11pm. I will go to bed at 11pm till 4am and then my partner goes to bed 4am until 11am and he starts work at 2pm otherwise we are both too tired.

There is a board specifically for sleep issues, under "Body and Soul" - you could try posting there as well.

I can't really offer any suggestions as when my ds was that age I would have killed for 4 hours of sleep! I think that what you've described is actually a pretty good amount of sleep for his age. Not that it is of any help to say that, sorry.

You could have a look at the ISIS sleep project website which describes normal sleep patterns for babies, which can help with what to expect at different ages.

Oh, have you tried white noise? You can apps, toys or just use a small fan. That might help.

Thanks for the info! At first I thought it was a good amount of sleep for his age but then read many posts on here saying there baby had slept through an just wanted to know how they do e it lol.

That sounds like an incredible amount of sleep by that age! I don't think there's anything you can do really to make them sleep longer when they're that little, just give it time and they do it themselves. My son was up every 1.5 hours at that stage. Some babies 'sleep through' (means sleeping for 5 hours) but I don't think it's because their parents have worked some magic - they just do it!
