How do you have sex if you co sleep?

Out of curiosity. DS is 7 weeks and we co sleep. How on earth does anyone have any kind of sex life while co sleeping?! Sorry for the TMI but so far we've only managed a quickie in the living room while he's sleeping!

We didn't co-sleep, but LO was in a room with us four eight weeks.

We either had a quickie in the living room whilst he was in his moses basket in our bedroom or the other way round - baby had fallen asleep in the living room, so we left him there in the moses basket, went to the bedroom for a quickie and retrieved baby later afterwards... felt a bit guilty, but if he really had started to cry badly we would have stopped...

Nowadays (LO is now 23 weeks), we often have sex when LO goes for his morning snooze (ca. 1 1/2 hours after initially waking up). All helped by the fact that he is in his own room.

We bed share with the 3 dc's. We haven't had sex in the bed for 5 years. We always do it in the living room after the kids have gone to bed. We just put a duvet on the floor and make sure the heater's been on. I think I actually like it better being on a firm surface.

Do you keep your ds downstairs with you until you go to bed? I did this until they were each about 1 and a half. We would just lie the sleeping baby in a little swinging moses basket in the living room, or on the couch when they were a bit older. We did have to be quieter and they did wake up every 10 minutes (they were used to being in arms otherwise), so we had to keep stopping and starting. We persevered through it though Grin And it was fine.

Why did it have to be a quickie? Was it because you were frightened of ds waking? In the end we just took for granted that we'd stop a few of times and didn't let it affect what we did or rush things because of it.

DS3 (20mnths) goes straight on the bed now, and because we're downstairs on the other side of the house (with the baby monitor), we can be as noisy as we want! I wouldn't fancy creeping around upstairs even if the kids were in their own rooms tbh.

In the day mostly. We leave Ds is his walker and get to it. Not much time for foreplay but you take what you can! Things seem to happen early evening in the kitchen too as Ds starts the night in his cot!.
