10 week old sleep advice

Hi LO is 10 weeks old & last week he went from waking twice at night to once (hooray!). However this week it does feel like he is awake most of the night! He wakes for a feed around 1.30/2am then it feels like he has been awake since 4.30-6am. We moved bedrooms a few days ago & we are transitioning him into the cot. Could this be playing a part in his night awakenings? If so how can I help him sleep?

Usually he only wakes if he is hungry but I noticed this morning he was quite happy in his Moses basket making his little noises or if we put the mobile on. Normally when he is hungry he will cry. I got up at 6 & went to him & he was a happy chappy which if he was hungry would not be the case.

Help please - I need my sleep back!

Hi,

Both our daughters chopped and changed from almost sleeping through the night to being awake most of the night, it's quite normal and will most likely settle down again soon. Also any change with sleeping arrangements can unsettle things a bit, was he in the same room as you before? If so it could well be that he can no longer hear you breathing in your sleep.

Sleep just doesn't exist any more! It will get better.
