Breastfeeding v Formula

If breastfeeding on demand how do you get into a routine? My grandmother is pro formula & keeps saying it's easier to get into a routine etc ... I'm pro breastfeeding but have NO routine at all LO is 7 weeks, anyone got any advice/thoughts? TIA ð???

I think the most important thing is finding what works for you, your baby & family.

I am not a routine type of person by nature. But I have 2 ds with ASD. Routine is my saviour!!

Each to their own. The thing about ff, routine & relatives? Smile, nod, ignore!!

I did a routine from week 1 and EBF. It worked fine and I didn't find it dreary at all, I liked structuring my day. Baby was happy, I was happy.

I mix fed (loooong story) but FF babies also feed on demand, so don't be fooled by anyone saying otherwise. As someone else said, babies aren't robots! They'll want fed when they're hungry.

At 2 months I remember thinking that god, we had no routine whatsoever, but for a few days I took a note of when DD fed, how long for, napped etc, and we did have a gentle pattern, I just hadn't realised. And DD tended to be hungry every 2.5-3 hours (ish).
