Food and sleep help!

I am at the end of my tether with this so I'm really hoping someone can offer some advice. DS is 15 months and has never been a good sleeper - he has always woken frequently and despite being able to self settle at the start of bedtime and for naps, will not resettle without cuddles/dummy/milk. Things got slightly better around the 10/11 month mark when he started eating more but have now gone downhill again.

The main problem is that he is now at the stage where he just throws all his food on the floor or squishes it into his highchair, he is therefore barely eating and accordingly wakes in the night because he's hungry. The only thing that will settle him is milk and although I'm really reluctant to be making up bottles (he won't take a cup) at 3am, I also need to sleep! I just don't know how to get him to eat during the day - he won't let himself be fed, I've tried giving him cutlery, all kinds of finger foods, putting him up to the table instead of the highchair but nothing makes a difference. I don't make a big deal about it as quite frankly I don't have the energy but I'm sick to death of no sleep and of the mess at every mealtime. Sorry for the rant and any help would be much appreciated.

OP, this is such a tough time for you, but I do think the only way to get him to eat more in the day is to drop the night time bottle. Sorry! It may well be worse for a few nights, but he'll soon get used to the idea that no milk is forthcoming in the night and things should improve. Good luck!
