Clarkes fitted my dc with size 7.5 5 months ago, she wore the hsoes very happily till 6 weeks ago, now says they are small and will only wear her wellies.

So I take her in today and they say she is a size 7!!! Her feet cant have got smaller! I didnt feel able to challenge and am sleep deprived with new dc so just wanted to cry, actually, having got dc1 all in the mood to try on new shoes (she doesnt like doing it).

Wwyd?

Shoe sizes don't seem standard to me. In my experience, what is a 7 in Clarks can be an 8 in Nexr. Just take your child with you to try shoes on before you buy Smile

What they measure should only be a starting point for figuring out the actual size of the shoe needed. Certain shoes come up big, others small, even if the size on them is the same.

Whenever my DS gets measured at Clarks they give him shoes that are 0.5-1 size bigger than what he measures so there is some room to grow. They always feel for the toe when the shoe is on, and look at how he walks in them.

It's very possible that your DD measured 6.5 and they gave her shoes in size 7.5 with room to grow. So now she measures 7 and maybe should try on some size 7.5-8 shoes.
