Hi everyone,

Apologies in advance for the long post, but not sure about etiquette for the situation below...

DH has a very close group of friends he has known since uni. He has not spent huge amounts of time with them recently as they all have numerous children, and until quite recently he was single and childless. Guess they all had different lives etc.

However, since the arrival of our DS in December we've seen more of these friends and just spent a lovely new year with them all (they have a big party every year but DH never attended until now as it was very kid-focused).

We have invited the group to our new house for a mini housewarming in a few weeks time. I'm aware that a few of the friends might be bringing belated Christmas presents/welcome to the world gifts for our DS.

So, should we be buying belated Christmas gifts for their DC's too? At the New Year party they all exchanged presents for their children which we didn't take part in as we weren't aware of this 'tradition'!

I'm just a bit confused over what to do. Any advice or thoughts very welcome!

Thanks!
