My 3 yr old is qualified for the free nasal flu vaccine. She is healthy and my doctor suggested it. Has any one else had it and if yes, any side effect? Thanks

My DS3.4 had it a couple of weeks ago. Simple, pain-free and very quick.

Only symptom after was a slightly runny nose.

*side effect (not symptom)

None here either, ds was a star! Much better than an injection.

Ds usually gets the jag but this year had the nasal vaccine and no side effects.

Dd (3) had a belter of a cold after hers but I think it was a cold rather than a side effect iyswim.

I never used to get myself or dc vaccinated (eg when I was pregnant with dd they offered myself and ds swine flu vaccine) and have never forgiven myself for Xmas 2010 when we all got swine flu and ds ended up in hospital with pneumonia. Dh now pays to get vaccinated, ds and I get it because we're asthmatic and dd now gets the nasal spray. I can't imagine ill ever go flu vaccine free again by choice.
