Help angel baby turned bad!!!!!! :(

Hi all
i have a baby boy who will be 5 months next week, i've been lucky compared to my first child who is now 9 Jack has been an angel baby, until now!!!!

I cant figure it out? I think he could be teething he's always got his hands in his mouth and is dribbling like mad. He just doesnt seem settled anymore and wont have daytime naps, he has developed this horrible cry which is more like a puppy wimpering. i have tried calpol, teething gel, bickie pegs and teething rings but nothing seems to work.

i love him to bits and i think i'm a chilled out Mum, but these last few days i've been feeling at the end of my tether and that feels really scary.

does anybody have any advice??

Possibly teething, and the heat does'nt help.

ds is nearly a year and he too is a pretty mellow baby, but every so often has a phase of being a real pain in the backside! It normally coincides with a new tooth either breaking through or just having a 'wriggle' in his gum.

Can you stick him in the buggy and take him for a walk round the block to distract him? This seems to work for ds, he sort of gets 'stuck' in whinge mode...

Like you I'm normally pretty chilled, but a whining baby can get to anyone! (and maybe it's 'harder' when you're used to a chilled out one???!!!)
