19 month old routine / reduce nap?!

My 19 month old has been sleeping 7pm - 7am ish with a nap of 2 ish hours at 12.30 for about 6 months. This last couple of weeks it all seems to be going pear shaped.

DH is upstairs with her now, she is refusing to go to sleep. She slept at lunch time for 1.5 hours and I'm wondering if this is now too long? She doesn't seem ready for bed and is very upset at us for putting her to bed!

What should I try doing as we really would like to stick to a 7/7.30 bed time. Should I wake her at midday? I do know someone who dropped the midday nap altogether at this age. Is that insane?

Hope someone can advise.

Don't think its anything to do epithet her nap, in fact dropping it could actually make her worse. I think you've just hit the 18 month sleep regression. There some more info on wonder weeks.
