We go to clarks as they are what i had when a child and everyone i know goes either to clarks or to russel and bromley as they seem to have the widest range of brands and styles

all first-time parents I know go to Clarkes. People who are on to their third or more seem to go to Brantano .

I find Clarkes width fittings reassuring re ds's growing feet, but all the boys' shoes look the same and are excruciatingly expensive (just bought ds's third pair - £75 spent so far this year ).

I'd say a shop that does continental children's shoes. Don't find British-made ones as good TBH. And the fitters tend to be much better in small independent children's shoe shops.
