Please talk some sense into me!

My 3-week-old DS2 just fell asleep on my shoulder after a breastfeed, and for the first time I have just transferred him into his hammock instead of letting him sleep on my shoulder. Stupidly, ridiculously, I am riddled with guilt! I feel like he trustingly fell asleep on me and I have played some kind of trick on him. And I feel like, is it so hard for me to leave him on my shoulder and do stuff with one hand while he sleeps.

Please shake me and make me see sense! I know it's daft but I'm all overtired and emotional...

You shouldn't be doing anything. If baby falls asleep on you, you sit down and rest too!!!

Oh bless you. Think of it another way, he trustingly fell asleep on you and you transferred him to another safe, comfortable space where he could have an un disturbed nap while you do what needs to be done. If he was upset by being moved he would have woken up and let you know all about it. Relax and enjoy 5 minutes peace!Smile

Ha ha and it WAS only five minutes too! He woke up. I did last tone sit around with a sleeping baby on me, and I wish it was so "simple" now, but DS1 needs me and is getting frustrated about my constant unavailability.

So torn! But if Baby will only sleep on me, there is only one way to jump anyway :-(.
