Girls knickers - does ANYWHERE sell proper fitting ones for 7 yos?

We've always bought knickers from either M&S or the supermarkets and up to now they've been fine. But they seem to have changed the cut and the latest batch aren't wide enough across the crotch and sit too high at the back. DD is 6 1/2 and spends her whole time yanking her pants out of her bum.

We've tried the "shorts" style and they are slightly better but still don't cover the cheeks. It's driving us both mad. Has anybody found comfortable, well fitting, covering children's pants anywhere?

Hi I suggest you try the shorts style from H & M.

H&m sell packs of 7 that are decently sized. Otherwise gap Boden and maxomorra.

I found the m&s ones and john Lewis both provide enough coverage if you size up. Also look at the m&s single ones if you find a style that suits buy a few pairs and look out for new colours.

Yes. Boden.

Expensive (use a code or in the sale).

But they are thick and quality.

I am so fussy over kids knickers, I get my mum to buy them in the US when she goes on holiday.

Thanks. I hadn't thought of H&M. I will try them.

7yo dd is currently in 5-6 yo primark knickers, they are great. Not quite as high as current Sainsbury knickers, more of an on the hip bikini cut iykwim.

Rummikub · 29/12/2013 21:12

Primark are good and fit well.

Boden. I only buy then in the sale or when I can use a hefty discount code. DD1 is 7 and she still fits in the age 3-4 ones we bought years ago. Gap do similar ones but only go up to age 5 in that style/fabric.

I've just ordered some from Boden. Will see how they fit Grin

Gap. Great material and either a proper knicker shape or shorts. Prob get some in the sale at the moment too.

I have the same knicker nightmare with DD, she is most particular!
She is 6 1/2 and current comfy ones are moshi monster shirt style from Sainsburys and size 7-8 shorts style from Asda.
She also has some Hello kitty ones but the sizes of those seem to vary depending on where you buy them Confused.

Shorts from Peacocks fit 7yo DD well.
