another sleep problem

My DS 22 months has been sleeping through for about 1 year now but all of a sudden either won't go to bed at bedtime or if he does is up incredibly early :( he has even pretty much dropped his daytime nap without being grouchy but whether he sleeps or not doesn't seem to make a difference! Is it normal for them to have a sleep regression around now?! Any ideas as to how to deal with it

TIA xxx

We had this for a couple of weeks when dd was 21/22 mo. Became a total nightmare at bedtime, hysterical screaming, throwing everything out of her bed, we ended up putting a single bed in her room and I basically went to bed at the same time as her. It passed in a couple of weeks so there probably isn't a need to do anything as drastic as we did, I just couldn't cope with it!!

I spent many evenings googling 2yr old sleep regression and it does seen to be quite common.

Also it does seem quite young to drop a nap, mine is still having a 2hr lunch time nap and she's just turned 2. In my experience, you need to give it a week or so before any routine changes make a difference so I'd try a week with a lunchtime nap (or quiet story time if he won't sleep).
