The M&S Animal Sounds Bus was given to DS last year and I'm still waiting for the batteries to die!

I could smash this up very cheerfully!

After three everyone: "Hello, Puppy calling, do you want to play with me? Let's have fun together as we learn our ABC..."

Currently sitting next to ds who is reading and playing with the book he got for Xmas. It's called noisy animals and has 4 farmyard sounds. They sound like animals in pain. And he keeps pressing the buttons. It might have to disappear.

Panzee, noooooo!!!!!!

Dd was given a vtech bear thing that's also driving me to distraction. Its tune is so catchy that I bloody end up singing along with it!
"I'm a friendly light up bear
I'll be cute 123
A sleepy hungry happy bear
Hey come and hug me."

We had some noisy toys that decided to live at grandma's house.

I also put annoying toys on shelves at bedtime.

I am very intolerant.

I'll teach you 1 2 3....

Many misspent car journeys...

Noisy toys have always been banned and noisy gifts have been immediately bannished.

However, this year I bought DS a ukulele which DH has decided he wants to learn to play. He has been plucking at it constantly since Christmas morning. We may be heading for an unfortunate accident but haven't decided whether it's DH or the uke that has to go.

ShoeSmacking · 28/12/2013 18:37

Before wrapping ds' toy airplane from Santa dh opened it and disabled the spinning thing inside that made the most awful noise. Then superglued the buttons back on. Thank goodness!!!

Would you like a cookie, here they are, five different shapes in my cookie jar.

4 years on and it still hasn't stopped working Angry Angry Angry Angry

Dd1 doesn't play with it anymore but it still haunts me and it won't be long before dd2 takes a shine to it. I might rehome it.

My grandparents bought dd1 a drum kit. The drum kit stays at my grandparents house and it will never get over my doorstep Grin

I've never actually broken one, but if all vtech producing factories suddenly vanished off the face of the earth, I'd be much happier... (especially that crappy ball 'roll me' - Nooooooooooooo!)

My mum confessed that when we were small (way before annoying electric toys) she used to take all the 'squeaks' out of our toys as they annoyed her so much...
