Ideas of ways to celebrate DS 1st birthday?

Hi guys!! I'm just wondering if anyone has any thoughts/ideas on ways I can celebrate my little one's first birthday on 11th jan? I'm also struggling with present ideas so soon after Christmas as he definitely doesn't need anything to play with. So I was thinking of maybe going somewhere nice instead? We're just going today do a little tea party in the house for him on his actual birthday for family etc but was thinking instead of getting him a gift he doesn't need, that maybe we could go somewhere nice for a day trip? I really don't know what to do. I know he won't care as he's so young but as he's my last baby I'd like to do something to mark his first birthday.

Thanks in advance for any advice...

My DS will be 1 on the 22nd - we're planning a trip lo a local aquarium.

Present wise of are also struggling as he got masses for Christmas. Ideas so far include a dressing gown, plate and bowl set and some storage for all the toys!

Present ideas - scuttle bug, clothes, money for summer/outdoor toys (slide, swing, paddling pool etc), swim towel.

Ways to celebrate - go to soft play, aquarium, zoo or just enjoy your day at home.

We took my dd to a zoo in the summer for her 1st. Obv it's a bit cold this time of year, but you could go to a safari zoo like whipsnade or Woburn. Depending on where you are...
Presents, how about a pic for their room, or make a photo book online, of their first year, a lovely keepsafe forever! Enjoy it, whatever you do!
