Hi! Hope this is the right place to post this.. Apologies if not...
My son is 8 months old and absolutely loves biscuits!
I've only been buying ones with no added sugar (Ella's kitchen etc) they are generally sweetened with apple.
I'd love to make these myself but the only teething biscuit recipes I can find are either full of sugar (find this so strange!) or completely bland.
Does anyone have a recipe for teething biccies with no added sugar but a bit of flavour?!
If not I guess I can just add fruit / spices to the bland recipe...
I made this no added sugar cake yesterday which was great ate half myself before bed
8oz self raising flour
Pinch each of cinnamon, nutmeg and mixed spice
2oz chopped pecans or any nuts (I used almonds and desiccated coconut instead, put these in the blender for ages so no chunks)
6oz grated carrot
6oz grated apples (I switched to a mix of apples and pairs as I had loads that needed eating)
3oz dates (I used dried cherries as didn't have any!)
2 eggs
4 fl oz veg oil
1 tsp vanilla
Baked for about 50 mins at 180.
