Be Honest: How Much TV do your Pre-school DC's watch?

DS is 2yrs 4mths and currently watches about 40mins - 1hr of tv every day. This is almost without exception back to back episodes of Sarah and Duck, in the time after dinner and before bed. He goes to bed fine at around 6.45pm. At the weekends he sometimes often watches 30mins or so of a DVD (Nemo/Gruffalo/Meg and Mog etc) in the morning too. Is this normal/too much? We generally go out mornings and afternoons come rain or shine, so by 5.30/45 I am shattered and so is he.

I'm expecting DS2 in January and foresee considerably more tv time for DS1 once this happens, not least because the weather will doubtless be awful, but also because I'll be knackered and probably bfing much of the time.

Please reassure me that I'm not scarring him for life (and can continue happily in this vein until such time as he is actually able to read to himself/construct intricate lego sculptures that require hours of quiet concentration).

DS is 3.5 and in total watches about 1 hour a day. I had DD 10 weeks ago and expected it to go up a lot, but he gets bored of it, and plays with other things.
I can remember my DB watching fireman Sam for hours on end and he is now a healthy 25 year old, so don't beat yourself up about it [fsnile]
