Hi,
I am currently co sleeping with my 4.5month old who has bronchiolitis. We have co-slept for a week and I guess I just need reassurance that she will go back to sleeping in her cot when she is better? She goes down in her cot, but when she wakes for first feed at 10, she won't settle and because she is coughing so much, I just go to bed and take her with me.
Am I creating a long term problem??
thanks

No, you are not creating a long term problem.

Same here with my 3 month old who's had a cold and cough - last night he wouldn't even settle in the cot for the first stint of the evening and was in with me for the whole night. Also worried about setting a precedent but conscious he's been poorly for a while (but no temperature). Interested in hear other's experiences.

She's tiny, she's ill and she needs you. You are doing absolutely the right thing.
IME DS would sometimes complain a bit about going back to his own bed once better, we maybe had a couple of nights of having to return him to his own bed, but no big fuss or tears - obviously this was when he was quite a but older than your DD though. Don't remember having any problems at all when he was a baby.
