I have just attended my ds first nativity play at his nursery. 2 very proud parents enjoying our ds playing a shepherd. The whole occasion somewhat marred by the fact that we were unable to take any photos to commemorate the occasion. When asked if we would attend we were also asked if we minded parents taking photos. Obviously some parents said they did, so no photos to show grandparents or siblings. I'm just wondering what people are so scared of that they don't want other parents taking some snaps of the nursery nativity. Seriously annoyed!!

Some children may be in foster care/adopted/in hiding from a violent parent etc and can't run the risks of photos identifying them and their school appearing on facebook.

I have custody of one soon to be two children by sgo. They are protected by a court order. I don't give consent for their photos to be used or taken in any public way.

Perhaps children are adopted?

From an abusive relationship?

Or simply parents don't want to run the risk of strangers putting pictures of their child on the internet

The risk of their DC being plastered all over Instagram/Facebook/Twitter I would imagine.
