A stupid question - do you move up a size when they get longer/Heavier than the size they are in or when they. are the length/weight of the next size up?

I move up when it gets too tight or short on them

When what they are wearing is too small, put them in the next size up.

I was wondering as he is 7.3kg, 65cm and the clothes he is in say they are for 8kg, 68cm but they are starting to look a little tight, but the next size is 9kgs, 74cm which sounds masive.
Guess I'll just move when his belly starts sticking out Xmas Smile

DS is on the heavier side for his age, but he is right at the top of the percentiles for height. We find that tops and jackets will fit him comfortably long after he has passed the age that they are aimed at (1yo and still easily fits the majority of his 6-9mo tops!), however the trousers are never right at the age they state unless perhaps from a Scandinavian brand. He is currently around 18mo for trousers.

As everyone else said... if it doesn't fit, go the next size up. If it really doesn't fit, maybe 2 sizes up!

All mine have been in the size above their age. So if they're 9mo they're in 12-18 month clothes or bigger. (I have big babies, ds2 was born at 10lb 6oz)

It all depends on your baby, some are smaller than average, some bigger.

I tend to go up a size when things start getting snug or short
