first night in own room

We have put our 6 month DS to sleep in his own room tonight. My DH doesn't seem to bothered by the fact but I'm feeling slightly sad and nervous about it all. Have just got into bed myself and it feels so strange not to have the cot next to the bed and hear his snuffling. He's only down the hall but I do miss him. Think it's going to be a long night!

Good luck! I'm dreading this myself so I hope it goes well & you have an encouraging story for me in the morning!

Good luck miggs! Hope it's all going well and you're both managing to get some sleep

How did it go?

Did he sleep any better? My 7.5 month ds is still in with us mainly because like you I'm going to miss him! But lots of people have said their babies slept better once in their own rooms. So maybe we'll move him after Xmas....

hi miggs, I totally get it that your DP wasn't bothered, my DH wasn't either! but I felt like I was missing my right arm without my DS there! 6 weeks later though I'm loving the fact that me and DH can actually talk or watch TV in bed again Smile. and turn on the bedroom light past 7pm! my DS is also slightly better sleeping now he has much more space in his cot, and isn't being disturbed by my DH's snoring unlike me. hope it went OK Grin
