I'm thinking of purchasing cot bumpers (quilted cotton ) and was wondering what age they can be used up until or from?

I think received wisdom these days is that they are not recommended for any age. With babies, they risk preventing good air circulation and can contribute towards overheating. With older babies, they can be used to help child climb out of cot. Don't waste your money

I used one for both dd's but then when i was pregnant with ds they started to recommend that you didn't use one at all. So i didn't. Was quite worried about him bashing his head though, when he was thrashing about in his sleep.
