4 week old constipated???

I have a 4 week old baby girl who I changed from breast feeding to bottle feeding two weeks ago. Since then whenever she has a poo she cries and strains as she pushes it out. I've asked my health visitor what to do thinking she is constipated but she said she isn't constipated as her poos are soft when they come out not hard. I've tried giving her an ounce of water to help her but she refuses to drink it moving the bottle out of her mouth. Basically after some advice as its really distressing to watch her struggling every day. Tia

I've been told its normal for the first 3 months as their digestive system is maturing. I do give a little water now at 3months but don't think I would at just 4 weeks as they are taking so little food it could upset the balance.

Ate you doing what you can to reduce wind? Have you tried other formulaes?
