Pre-schooler - help with focus or let him play while he can

DS1 is 3.5. He has some issues with focus and concentration - like most boys his age but has been noted by nursery workers.

He goes to nursery four mornings a week and does have some gentle lesson type sessions with them but it's pretty optional at this age.

In the afternoon either I or our mother's help take him out usually to run around in parks, woods or soft play.

Do you think we should be getting him to do more structured play/ classes to start prepping him for school?
