When to give up bottle?

My daughter is 21 months and I still let her get a bottle in morning and night before she goes to bed. I feel bad to cut it off bc she enjoys it. She does drink from sippy cup as well and I haven't even tried to cut out the bottle. When do people normally stop giving their kids bottles? I know nhs says from 12 months. A lot of my friends give bottle still who have kids similar age. I'm just curious about others...how old were ur kids when u cut the bottle?

My DS didnt seem too fussed on where his milk came from, so long as he got it. We stopped giving a morning bottle first and changed to a sippy cup, i think around 16 months. We still did a bottle at night for a bit longer and then changed that over to a sippy cup. Now some evenings he hardly touches it and other he gulps it down (he was 2 in October).

I know a few of our friends still give their similar aged kids a bottle though.

Dd just used to have a bottle at night before being put down. Stopped this at around 14 months I think.

DS1 had his bottles before naps so he dropped them as he dropped the naps, so went from 3 to 2 around 14m and then down to just bedtime when he dropped his afternoon nap around 2yo. we moved him to a bed at 2.6 and he dropped his night time bottle then.

my DTs are following suit to do the same. they all drink much more this way so I know they are getting enough milk in the day. plus as my kids never had dummies and plenty of kids do well past 12m I cant see that 1 or 2 bottles a day is going to do their teeth permanent damage.

as an aside, my friend's 4yo still has a bottle before bed, she enjoys it and her mum sees no reason to stop it. she drinks from a cup happily the rest of the day.

We stopped bottles in the morning at about 1 for DTs and transferred to sippy cups and then stopped milk in the morning as all they did was pour it everywhere. We stopped bottles just after their second birthday, we only had two teats left and one broke so we just went cold turkey to sippy cups and they didn't seem to notice!

DS still has a bottle at night, it's the only way I can get him to drink 'milk' and as he is dairy free most of the time I decided it was more important to get 200ml of 'milk' into him. Maybe when he can be trusted with a straw I'll try that!!
