Hi,

I'm a second year Product Design Engineering student and I am in the process of designing a new pushchair focusing on the mothers health. I would be very grateful if you could spare a couple of minutes of your time to fill out this quick survey.

Done

I did it for the double buggy that I had and wanted to do another one for the pushchair that I have now but am unable to.

Done.

If you want to focus on parents' health (because, shockingly, DH pushes the pram too) I would strongly recommend you look at range of adjustability of the handle height, and stride length vs kicking bits of the frame when walking.

I am not tall but still had trouble finding a pram which didn't require me to stoop to push it. DH is tall and it's even worse for him.

Also, someone needs to be seriously looking at the weight of prams IMO. 12+ kilos

Oops

12+ kilos is a lot for a newly postnatal woman to get into the back of a car, which can be a really awkward lift.

Done. :)

I'm a design student too (open uni) and would be very interested to see what you come up with.

As some others mentioned - weight is a big factor in my opinion. I was lucky not to suffer any diagnosed back stress (had a bit of aching but not bad) but still have trouble lifting it into/out of the car etc.

Thanks for the feedback! Weight, full stride length and adjustments to handle height have all been expressed into the build up to the design. I have also regarded them as key features that the pram must have in the pds. thanks again for all the feedback, every piece of information will be taken on board.
