I'm sure this will resonate with a few here. An adoptive Dad gets asked who his son's "real parents" are and asks the question:

Am I A Real Dad?

Yes,of course. You know they meant biological. Whoever does the dad stuff is the dad. They have just used an unforunate and incorrect choice of words. Was it a child who asked this?

Well, yes, but I think it's good that articles like this educate people as to how to best approach the subject of adoption and maybe the do's and don'ts. For me it relatively easy to see how an adoptive parent would be put out by that question. That said, the article isn't really berating those who "slip up", it's more confirming what real Dad really means.
