Ten year old won't sleep

Hello new mum here. Joined through desperation . My ds is ten but will only fall asleep with me in my bed. Dh comes in and goes mad wakes him up and screaming match. Ds manic, crying, dd awakes just chaos. Why can't he just sleep in his own lovely room.

I suspect the real problem is your DH. Does he regularly yell at the kids?

Could you give a bit more info?

Does he then sleep with you all night? Does he wake in the night? Why does he need you to fall asleep (in his opinion)? Does he have any SEN? Is he otherwise happy? How long has this been going on? Does your dd also fall asleep with you?

I would imagine that bedtime/sleeping is a bit scary and he needs to be near you to feel safe if he's used to being woken up by an angry screaming adult.
