Dd is 5 and hates sleeping , its a battle every single nighht and I am at the end of my tether , on a good night she is sleeping by 9.30pm but it can easily be as late at 11pm, she is up at 7.30am everyday . I think she needs more sleep , the time is terrible but its more the effort everynight I am fed up of, basically from 7pm onwards everynight is spend trying in vain to gt her to settle down , we are expecting dc 2 in just over 2 months and I have no Idea how we will cope , every morning is same hassle of trying to get her ready for school. It seems to be a constant battle with her and I really dont know what to try next, any tips or advice appreciated.

Just marking my place as my DD is the same! She is in bed by 7.30 but can still be awake at 10 even though she is vkealy exhausted. What have you tried so far? I've tried early bedtimes, late bedtimes - no difference. And we have a bedtime routine too... not sure where to go from here!

We have tried getting her up earlier hoping to break routine , trying to get her settled earlier, leaving her later but honestly she could stay awake all night. We have tried letting her watch some calming tv but no good same with no tv her mind goes into overdrive, most nights she falls asleep crying over anything, bedtime routine usually consists of book and cuddles , baths wake her up even more so no good at night.
Hope you find a solution too its so hard night after night.
