Dd5 in year one and dislikes school

My dd is 5 and has disliked school for past year, will not read and write for them , crystal after school if I answer her is it school tomorrow with a yes and crys before school. She says it's because she misses me however sadly there is nothing I can do about it ,it's got worse since yesterday as she stopped eating as feeling low about school anyone else been through similar any ideas on how to help her? Xx

Have you been into school? what did they say? Is there anything in particular which is causing flash points (my DD hates lunchtimes because she is not sat with her friends) Sometimes she has to sit next to a girl who has hit her in letters and sounds, and that gets her upset.

Has there been any other upheaval? New baby, new job etc.

Sorry, I don't think that was helpful, I was wondering if there were little things you could change that would make it better for her in places.

I really do think that you need to spell it out to the school just how unhappy she is though, as they probably think you are over-reacting.
