My husband is a stay at home dad and our ten month old son adores him. He's had a beard for a year or so and tonight decided to shave it off. Our son watched the whole process but freaked out when his dad gave him a hug afterwards! He won't be held by him at all now and cries hysterically when he sees him! Do I have to go get a fake beard before I go to work tomorrow?!

Ah bless! As far as your Ds is concerned his dad has been taken away and replaced with someone not right. He'll get over it, just keep everything else familiar. It may take several days though I'm afraid.

Awww that is so cute! Im sorry, not helpful - but I love it!
As a mum of 3, he will get over it. They are funny little things though.

My DD was scared of DH's legs when she first saw him wearing shorts. She also hated it when I put long sleeves on after the Summer.

Thanks for the replies! I brought him into our bed this morning so he could see his dad in the dark first which helped. Once he saw him properly he decided that him not having a beard was hilarious! I'm so relieved - my husband was awake most the night worrying!
