Cot blankets

So the battle of getting DS to sleep continues and a friend has told me that both her DS's slept better in a cooler room with extra blankets. .

In the spirit of 'at this stage, anything is worth a go', I've been digging through the bedding I've got here but none of cotton (jersey?) sheets I have seem more than around 1m x 1m which is only just wide enough for our cot bed and DS will definitely kick off with no probs at all!

So I'm wondering what size blankets you add to your DC's during the night and can you recommend somewhere to buy them?

TIA!

These.

Assuming its an under 1yo you'll be safest with cellular.

Wouldn't bank on it helping though but completely understand the need to try anything!

DS2 7m is currently in a 2.5tog sleeping bag with a cotbed duvet and a woollen blanket over him. Doesn't seem to make any difference to his sleeping, though, which is and always has been godawful.

I've also heard that a cooler room + more layers is best. I think it allows them to regulate their body temperature as they are better able to lose any excess heat if the room is cooler.

Sleeping bags are great, vest and sleepsuit underneath (+ cardie if very cold)

He's already in a sleeping bag and sleepsuit and when it was dipping to 17 I added a vest too as his chest felt cool to touch..am thinking that a blanket would also keep him secure as he was a baby who responded v well to swaddling so keen to give it a go!
