night time wetting

Ds1 (just 5) has been brilliant at night for a couple of months - pretty reliable with one or two accidents. Then the last couple of weeks he's wet the bed every night. He was dry last night, and was really happy - woke up saying 'Good news, I'm dry!', so he will get a sticker on a chart (that we have yet to make ). Is there anything else we should be doing? We still lift him at about 11.30ish, as otherwise he would certainly wet the bed.

I'm trying to keep it light, but he is obviously a bit upset about it - he was saying 'it doesn't work now, it used to work when I was 4, but now I'm 5 it doesn't.'

Thanks!

What are you giving him to drink? With my dd, we found that when we started only giving her water to drink (no squash, juice, and especially no Ribena) she was much better with the dry nights.

He only has water after about 6 o clock - he often does have Ribena at tea time, so I'll try giving him water then. Thanks!

Yes Ribena is supposed to be especially bad. My ds has just turned 5 also and since his birthday he has been dry almost every night - still wants to wear his pull-ups though! - I don't think he can quite believe it himself that he is finally getting there...
