Hi everyone
I will soon be starting the gradual retreat sleep training method with my 9 month old baby girl and im dreading it. Im so not looking forward to hearing her cry for me. Ive asked my partner to start doing it as he wont give in like me but ill still get upset knowing she wants her mum. Shes used to being breastfed to sleep and whilst i know thats my fault i cant help but feel its her that is now getting the raw end of the deal.Id love to hear how your sleep training went...was it hard? Was it a success in the end? Did any of you give in?
Thanks all x x

We did it a bit later, DD fed to sleep until about 14 months, then started asking for more milk after I'd done both sides - feeding stopped shortly after as she just wanted it in a cup. We started by lying down with her in her bed, moved to hand holding and now I give her milk and a kiss/cuddle then read a story - she's usually asleep by the end of it. She didn't cry because we did it very gradually. Good luck!
