Hi, my daughter is going to play with her friend after school who is a vegetarian. I usually let her take some sweets around as a way of saying thanks.
Are there any makes of sweets I can buy in a normal shop that are suitable for vegetarians, or are they quite a specialist thing that you'd have to order on line?
Thanks. Smile

marks and spencer sell vegetarian percy pigs!

otherwise most boiled sweets are ok, things like chupa chups lollies, that kind of stuff.

only gelatine based ones aren't veggie, so you should be ok

Check on the box, it'll say "suitable for vegetarians". I'm visiting a veggie friend tonight and taking a box of Thorntons fudge.

There are hundreds of sweets that are fine for a vegetarian and I've eaten most of them. Grin
Check the ingredients list. It's usually gelatin that's the problem, and that's in haribo and those natural sweet company jelly snakes and lots of other jelly-based stuff.
Chocolate is fine. Oh yes!

Starburst are veggie. I looked in sainsburys and they were the only vegetarian sweets I could find.
