OK, dd was potty trained like a dream about 3 weeks ago. From day 1 she went to the potty unaided and we really had very few accidents - it was all so smooth I was counting my lucky stars.
But then maybe I got too complacent...I don't know what has happened....but she now will pee herself almost deliberately (it seems to me) even if she is standing next to the potty. The car now smells like a urinal and the sofa needs a special clean. After having had so long with so much success I don't understand why she is doing this - I was prepared for this at the beginning but not now. Thankfully it is not poos though, they are all still in the potty.
She is a bright girl so I feel like she understands what she is doing, but maybe I am overestimating her?
The childminder says that I should be sharper with her when she does it, but although I do feel mighty angry (inwardly) when she does it I have so far been saying explaining not to wee on floor/high chair/pram/car and to do it in the potty, but that's it. I am getting close to the edge now though. I feel like she's taking the p*ss
Is it too soon to get tough? Should I go back to square one and give her treats for wees in the potty?
Has anyone else had this? What could be going through her mind?
